An extremely diverse musician, Los Angeles-based percussionist, educator, and composer Dylan Campbell holds his degree from the Bob Cole Conservatory of CSU Long Beach in Music Performance with concentration in percussion performance. Here, he studied under Dr. Michael Carney, Dr. Dave Gerhart, Brad Dutz, Randy Drake, and LA Phil percussionist Scott Higgins.
Dylan has performed in many different groups including CSULB's Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, New Music Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, World Percussion Group, and Steel Drum Orchestra, and in venues such as The Hollywood Bowl, The James Armstrong Theater, The Herbert Zipper Concert Hall, The Carpenter Performing Arts Center, and more. In 2010, Dylan marched front ensemble with SoCal Dream, and won gold medal for the Solo Keyboards category in DCA's I&E competition with a score of 97.
Dylan currently coaches the percussion section/indoor drumline of North Hollywood High School, and works intermittently with Kennedy HS (in Granada Hills), and West Adams Preparatory HS. Most recently, Dylan was a front ensemble tech for the brand new, award-winning indoor drumline, Orange County Independent.
